Asia's best hotels, one stay at a time.

I'm a software developer who works remotely, which means I can work from a suite in Lombok as easily as from home. I spend that freedom on hotels and fine dining across Asia, from beach resorts to city business hotels, and I write up what they're actually like.

Some stays get a full walkthrough on YouTube. Some get a written review of the whole property, and some just the room, or a single dinner. It depends on the place and how much time I had. Either way you'll get what the room actually cost, how it compares with the place down the road, and the small things a brochure doesn't show.

Who pays

I do. Every trip on this site so far has been booked and paid for by me, at the same rates you'd get. No media rates, no hosted stays, no free meals. If that ever changes for a particular visit, it will say so at the top of that review, and the property still won't get a say in what I write.

Why Asia

Because this is where the best luxury hotels in the world are, and most of them get a fraction of the coverage that Europe and the Maldives do. A suite that would cost four figures a night in Paris costs a few hundred in Bangkok or Jakarta, with better service. Lombok gets ignored in favour of Bali. Whole cities with world-class hotels barely get a mention. That gap is what this site is for.
